Topix Jepang Seret Saham Asia Jatuh Dari Level Tertingginya

Saham Asia jatuh dari level tertinggi dalam lima pekan terakhir, terseret oleh penurunan saham Jepang, pasca penguatan yen dan harga minyak merosot ke level terendah tiga tahun.
Indeks MSCI Asia Pacific tergelincir 0,1%  menjadi 142,03 pada 9:03 pagi di Tokyo, sebelum pasar saham China dan Hong Kong dibuka, setelah kemarin ditutup di level tertinggi sejak 25 September Lonjakan saham Jepang kemarin mendorong indeks Topix ke level tertinggi dalam enam tahun terakhir, pasca selama dua pekan memasuki koreksi. Yen naik 0,1% menjadi 113,54 per dolar hari ini setelah kemarin naik sebanyak 0,4%.
Topix Jepang turun 0,2% karena SoftBank Corp turun 3,1% setelah memperkirakan penurunan pertama terkait laba operasional setidaknya dalam sembilan tahun dikarenakan tujuan miliarder Masayoshi Son menciptakan toko operator nirkabel terbesar di dunia pada penurunan di Sprint Corp.
Sementara Gubernur Bank of Japan (BOJ) Haruhiko Kuroda berbicara di Tokyo hari ini, tujuan pertamanya sejak ia tiba-tiba didukung stimulus pada 31 Oktober dan dana pensiun jepang meningkatkan target alokasi ekuitas nya.
Indeks Australia S&P/ASX 200 tergelincir 0,3%. Morgan Stanley membalikan perkiraan saham acuan di negara tersebut guna mendapatkan selama 12 bulan ke depan.
Commonwealth Bank of Australia naik 0,1% setelah melaporkan kenaikan 9,5% pada laba kuartal pertama pada peningkatan pendapatan dan biaya yang lebih rendah terhadap kredit macet.
Indeks Kospi Korea Selatan naik 0,4% dan Indeks NZX 50 Selandia Baru turun 0,1%.
Minyak mentah West Texas Intermediate (WTI) berjangka naik 0,2% hari ini setelah kemarin mengalami penurunan ke level terendahnya sejak Oktober 2011. Keprihatinan atas melimpahnya minyak global telah meningkat pekan ini setelah Arab Saudi memangkas harga kepada Amerika.(yds)

Indeks Topix Jepang Dibuka Melemah 0.2 %

Saham Jepang jatuh, setelah Indeks Topix catat reli 7 persen selama 2 hari beruntun, seiring mata uang yen rebound. Saham SoftBank Corp melemah setelah memperkirakan laba yang lebih rendah.
Indeks Topix melemah sebesar 0,2 persen ke level 1,365.52 pukul 09:05 pagi waktu Tokyo setelah mencapai penutupan tertingginya sejak Juni 2008 lalu. Indeks Nikkei 225 Stock Average tergelincir sebesar 0,3 persen ke level 16,809.27, sementara saham SoftBank anjlok sebesar 3,8 persen. Saham Jepang melonjak dalam dua sesi perdagangan terakhir pasca Bank of Japan (BoJ) memperluas stimulus dan Dana Investasi Pensiun Pemerintah mengatakan akan membeli lebih banyak saham.
BOJ mengatakan pada 31 Oktober lalu meningkatkan target untuk pembelian obligasi tahunan pemerintah Jepang sebesar 80 triliun yen ($ 706 miliar), sementara tiga kali lipat membeli real estate investment trust. Pada hari yang sama, dana pensiun menetapkan target alokasi masing-masing untuk indeks ekuitas Jepang dan luar negeri sebesar 25 persen, sebelumnya naik dari 12 persen. GPIF akan memangkas obligasi domestik menjadi 35 persen aset dari sebelumnya 60 persen. (knc)

Japan’s Topix Slides After 7% Two-Day Surge; SoftBank Tumbles

Japanese stocks fell, after the Topix index posted a 7 percent two-day rally, as the yen rebounded. SoftBank Corp. slumped after forecasting lower profit.
The Topix slid 0.2 percent to 1,365.52 as of 9:05 a.m. in Tokyo after reaching its highest close since June 2008 yesterday. The Nikkei 225 Stock Average slipped 0.3 percent to 16,809.27, while SoftBank tumbled 3.8 percent. Japanese shares soared in the past two trading sessions after the Bank of Japan expanded stimulus and the Government Pension Investment Fund said it will buy more shares.
The BOJ said on Oct. 31 it raised its target for annual purchases of Japanese government bonds to 80 trillion yen ($706 billion), while tripling buying of real estate investment trusts. On the same day, the pension fund set allocation targets of 25 percent each for Japanese and overseas equities, up from 12 percent each. GPIF will cut domestic bonds to 35 percent of assets from 60 percent.

Asian Stocks Fall as Japan’s Topix Drops From 6-Year High on Yen

Asian stocks fell from the highest level in five weeks, dragged down by a retreat in Japanese shares, after the yen strengthened and oil slumped to a three-year low.
The MSCI Asia Pacific Index slipped 0.1 percent to 142.03 as of 9:03 a.m. in Tokyo, before markets opened in China and Hong Kong, after closing yesterday at the highest level since Sept. 25. A surge in Japanese shares yesterday pushed the Topix index to a six-year high, two weeks after it entered a correction. The yen gained 0.1 percent to 113.54 per dollar today after climbing 0.4 percent yesterday.
Japan’s Topix slid 0.2 percent as SoftBank Corp. fell 3.1 percent after forecasting its first drop in operating profit in at least nine years as billionaire Masayoshi Son’s goal of creating the world’s largest wireless carrier stalls on losses at Sprint Corp.
Bank of Japan Governor Haruhiko Kuroda speaks in Tokyo today, his first address since he unexpectedly bolstered stimulus on Oct. 31 and the nation’s pension fund increased its equities allocation target.
Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 Index slipped 0.3 percent. Morgan Stanley reversed its forecast for the country’s benchmark stocks gauge to gain over the next 12 months.
Commonwealth Bank of Australia added 0.1 percent after reporting a 9.5 percent increase in first-quarter cash profit on increased revenue and lower charges for bad debts.
South Korea’s Kospi index gained 0.4 percent and New Zealand’s NZX 50 Index lost 0.1 percent.
West Texas Intermediate crude futures rose 0.2 percent today after sliding yesterday to the lowest since October 2011. Concern over a global oil glut has intensified this week after Saudi Arabia cut prices to the U.S.
